change currency $ to £ on excel invoice help

I have tried everything regonal settings euro conversion ect.when using the invoice the values come out as $ dollers and all i want are £ pounds.please help me

Try "Format || Cells...", click "Currency" and then you can select the desired currency under "Symbol".

Cannot access cells in format! how do i change this .thanks Dean

Just right click on the cells you want to change, select "Format cells", then select currency.
