Hi,

I have a column called status. In that column I have text like the following:

Delivered
On Hold
Despatched
Delivered
Delivered
Delivered
On Hold
Despatched
Despatched
Despatched
Despatched
Despatched
Despatched

I want to get the followign result autimatically since the data is in some hundreds.



Delivered = 4
On Hold = 2
Despatched = 7

This could be done using COUNTIF() formulas, but a pivot table is a better option because it will automatically generate the distinct Status list (Delivered, Despatcjed, On Hold) for you. I've attached an example.
