Colorize custom footer text?
In order to footnote several cells in the sheet, I changed the cell content to red, added a custom footer text that was meant to refer to those cells and then tried to make the footer text red so as to match the cells and infer the linkage since there isn't a footnoting capability. However, once in Head/Footer, selecting Font does not have the ability to colorize the footer text.

I really don't think that that's necessary.
You have any cell's value in the spreadsheet formatted as Red. Now, you tell me how you can format a footer as Red. |
