Converting decimal to hours
Hi all,
I need for help! I'm trying to convert a time, currently displayed as decimals (ie. 1905.3), into hours that looks like 266:19:00. When I try to use the [h]:mm:ss custom format, 1905.3 becomes 45727:12:00 for some reason. Please help! Thanks, |

What does the 1905.3 represent - hours, minutes days? I can't see any time-based relationship between that and 266:19:00.

1905.3 being 1905 hours and 20 minutes.
266:19:00 being 266 hours, 19 minutes and 0 seconds. Thanks for the reply. |

For values like 1905.3, you need to divide the number by 24, then format the cell as [hh]:mm:ss. This will return 1905:18:00 (which is the correct result).
