Default Excel Checkboxes

I am trying to link two checkboxes so that if one is checked the other is not. Please advise. Having Yes/No and checkboxes underneath

Hi Theresa,

Check out the attached workbook. It has two 'ActiveX' checkboxes. Cliking on either changes the state of both. To see how it's done, activate Excel's design mode, then click on either checkbox to view its properties and click on the 'view code' option to view the macros that drive them.

Hi Paul,

Thank you sooo much for your reply, but I am not sure if that is what I need. I tested it and I see it switches the answer to no when you click yes. I am going to attach what I am hoping for and would appreciate your response. Thank you in advance, Theresa.

Hi Theresa,

Try the attached revised version of your workbook. The way checkboxes work, if you click one once, it changes state. Click it again and it changes state again. Consequently, if you're going to have them linked, you need macros that alter the state of the one when you click the other. I've included the macros in the workbook.
