Ok, I have maybe a ridiculous problem, but it's hell annoying.

I've got a new friend in excel and it's a useless vertical bar on the very right of the screen, just after the scrollbar. I have no idea why has this appeared and most of all - how to turn it off. Seems like excel didn't get the idea that I maximized the inner window. And here's the picture of my issue:





I can't move it, I can't turn it off and the most important - I can't move my mouse to the right to scroll the window, cause I get to this stupid useless bar.

Anything, please?

I'm not surprised you can't do anything with that bar - it's the application's own border as displayed when the application is maximized!

Nope? It hasn't been there before. This ain't the border of the whole application, but it seems to belong to the inner window of the worksheet. And it should disappear when maximized.

Compare, there's no such thing in word, the scrollbar is the last thing to the right of the screen:

All that proves is that Word and Excel are different when maximized. They both look just as you have described when maximized on my system and on every other system I've seen. Perhaps you haven't been running Excel maximised before - just with the 'normal' window filling the screen.

I had my office reinstalled anyway. And, fun fact, this bar disappeared:



So, problem solved - in my fresh install there's no bar on the right. Maybe some update triggered it? Dunno, never mind any more
