Puzzled--Excel charts in PPT change color when PDF'd

PPT 2007-- I have excel bar charts in my PPT presentation and have recolored them to match our template style. However when I create a PDF, the excel charts change color and do not reflect how they look in PPT. (the pdf shows the charts in completely different colors). Any ideas? thx!
