Default How can I get the conditional result?

Hi,

How can I get the result as in attached .JPG file using conditional formatting:

If the "Order Value" is higher than the "Invoice Value" --- Then the cell to be filled with "Process the Invoice" .... otherwise it is to be filled with "Hold the Invoice".

How can I do that? Please help.

Thanks.

You cannot do this with conditional formatting. Conditional formatting changes the format of the font/fill within the cell only. However, you can do this with a simple IF() formula.

You do not state what message should be displayed if the Order Value is equal to the Invoice Value, so I will assume it should say "Process the Invoice". One possible formula is this:
Code:
=IF(A2>=B2,"Process","Hold")&" the Invoice"
I have attached an example for you.

Hope that helps...
