Default Excel Help

Dear All

I am really hoping that you will be able to help me!!

I am creating an automated quotation spreadsheet and what I would like to do is:

Input product name in C7
Input duty tariff to J7.

I would like to be able to input the product name and then the duty tariff automatically updates with the relevant price.

I presume you have to set up another tab with the product and duty tariff and do an IF command but I am not sure!!

Looking forward to someone helping me!!!!

Celticspirit.

Make the table you describe, where product is the first column and price is the second column. It is good, but not required, to sort this table ascending by product.

=VLOOKUP(C7,TableLocation,2,0)

Vertical Lookup(WhatToLookFor,WhereToLook,WhatTableColToRet urn,IsCloseOK?)

Don't forget to make the table location be absolute (either with dollar signs or a named range).
