Hi. I type ALT 252 in to a cell and instead of getting the tick I get a club as in a playing card. Am I using the wrong code as I have been using...
Wingdings character set and equivalent Unicode characters When i click to a difrent cell the sympol changes to a greak kind of letter a wierd looking M. Looks like Decimal 99 Vergo in the list. But ALT 65 displays a club. |

What font is your cell using? Have you tried updating it to the Wingdings font?
The Insert > Symbol route not only introduces the symbol but seems to apply the correct font for that character. |

Most alphabetical symbols, like é, are available in many standard fonts. |
