![]() I'm having a weird problem with the scroll bar scrolling with Excel and with Word as well. I put this in Excel section because I consider the problem to be more aggravating with it (and first noticed the problem with it). So last night I used Excel 2003 as I've used it from the times of beginning. This morning opened my pc and started editing this daily used Excel book and for some reason I couldn't scroll the page (or any page of any book) with its content but only seeing the row number indicator where my scrolling is heading to. After last night Exceling I used Word for couple of minutes just as usual as used to. After discovering this problem with Excel I assumed that maybe some universal Office option was accidentally clicked on/off with Word so I checked every option with it and everything seemed to be okay. Same thing with Excel. I rebooted my pc after obvious restarting of Excel and the problem still exists. I even created a new user profile in Windows to see if some weird configuration matter was a cause of the problem. Nope. I consider myself quite experienced Excel user but for this I couldn't find a solution with friends, search engines and Office help. Of course I could've done one more thing: reinstalling Office. However I thought it would be reasonable to ask first if someone has had similar problems. |

Check to ensure you turn OFF any "Window > Freeze Panes" in your Excel document.

How about the Scroll lock on the keyboard?

Of course!
Guess I better specify the problem: scrolling works fine but the way I'm seeing it happening does not satisfy me. I would like to see the rows rolling while scrolling with the scroll bar. Now the only thing indicating the scroll besides the movement of the scroll bar is this changing indicator next to bar "Row: #" (# being the number of row where the scrolling is heading to). Made any sense? |
