Default Custom addin needs to be disabled before Excel can load

I've built a timesheet system for my wife's workplace consisting of a macro-enabled addin and a data input template. They are using Excel 2016, which is what I used to build it at home.

While Excel opens fine at home with the addin installed/enabled, at her workplace the Excel forces the user to disable the addin before it can load, and only once loaded can the addin then be enabled. This is a nuisance obviously.

An image of the system message is attached.

I've looked for a solution online but haven't found one so far, so if anyone has any clues I'd be most grateful.
