This is a 2 month old laptop running Windows 11 Pro.

I have MS Office 2021 installed. Used Word with no problems.
I do not use Office 365.

When I double click on an existing xlsx file in explorer I get
"This action is only valid for products that are currently installed"
but when I navigate to the same file from within Excel the file opens normally.

I searched the web and found
This action is only valid for products that are currently installed [Fix]

But I do not find any Office "trial versions" to uninstall.
I searched for other solutions but I am afraid to break something else because many are old.

I checked file associations and xlsx is associated with Excel.

What to do? This should not happen. Please help.
Thank you.
