Autofill help drop down.
I have got a miniture annoying drop down box which call's it's self auto fill. I have tried the following: Options -> Advanced and untick the checkbox Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop
This makes no diffrence. Any help here? Attached. P.S. This is getting worse now. By unticking the box I can't hilight a group of cells and drag down to make a copy below. This is not what I want. I wont to get rid of that box. |

I think this is a display bug, try decreasing or increasing the zoom level, then bring it back.

windows - How can I dismiss the floating "Auto Fill options" button in Excel 2010? - Super User where: "If you hold Ctrl and scroll up then back down again it zooms the worksheet in and out which bizarrely seems to get rid of the icon" |

So there is no way around this annoying Icon. This is supposed to help you not get in the way. This is like the old microsoft paper clip pop up "You apear to be writing a word document. Would you like me to screw it up for you"?

It's a bug. It's not intended to be this way.
