Default Issue With SUMIF and Range

I have a spreadsheet (attached) and I want to use SUMIF.

However, I want to use a range of cells (multiple cells/rows) to get the sum.

It appears that only the first column is used to get the sum.

What are my options?

Tommy

Use SUMIFS for multiple criteria/range.

Hi, see the next links...

SUMIF function

"Sum_range should be the same size and shape as range. If it isn't, performance may suffer, and the formula will sum a range of cells that starts with the first cell in sum_range but has the same dimensions as range."

SUMIFS function

"The Criteria_range argument must contain the same number of rows and columns as the Sum_range argument."

You can use:

=SUMPRODUCT(($A$2:$A$20=D22)*$D$2:$F$20)

in D23 and copy across.
