Default Problem with file names.

Hello, I am using Excel 2010. I have been running a process that involves AutoHotKeys and four different Excel files. Two of the XL files I use are running in the same instance and the other two are in their own instance. This has worked well for years. I think my problem started when I added a 5th Excel file (running in its own instance) to this process that involves “split windows”, “Side by Side”. This workbooks name is Titles.xlsm. In Excel there is like a inner window and the outer main window. I probably am not using the right terminology but hopefully you can understand this. Of these five Excel files the new “Titles.xlsm” is the only one being used where the inner Windows is in the “Restore” window size. In this mode the title appears on the main outer window at the top of the page as “Microsoft Excel” and the left inner window is “Titles.xlsm:1” and the right inner window is “Titles.xlsm:2”. My biggest problem is with the other four Excel files that I run where the inner window is in the maximized position. With these I’m noticing that they too are basically a window in a window. I never really noticed before or had any issues with this. If the inside window of say my “Numbers.xlsm” workbook is not maximized then the main title at the very top of the page changes to “Microsoft Excel” and this is the way AutoHotKeys identifies it. AHK now thinks there are 2 “Microsoft Excel” windows. I’m not sure why these inner screens are getting put into the restore window size. Is there a wat to lock these in the maximized state or maybe another solution? Thanks

In the meantime I have just added a “nothing” Excel file to my single instance Excel files so at least two files are running in each instance. Now, if the file I need happened to have been left in the “Restore” window mode, AutHotKeys will now be able to recognize that file/window does indeed “Exist”.
