How to get rid of a zillion irrelevantly opened drives for one and the same NAS-share
Hello. In my workbook, if I edit any link to a file/document, immediately around 6 copies of one particular NAS-share are being opened (always the same one), though the destination workbook and the linked source document are both on an internal PC disk, not referring to any NAS share at all. Earlier I had stored the workbook on that NAS-share. At every use of the workbook a multiple of NAS shares appeared, which I had to then manually remove every time. Therefore I transferred the workbook to my internal PC disk. However, to no avail. Now, even a new blank workbook with a single link to an internal PC stored file, when the link is being opened for editing, results in the same NAS-shares shower, getting different drive letters as before. (Just following the link, not editing, will open the intended document, alright.) No other workbooks are open at the same time. No queries and connections are active. How can this horrible situation be resolved, if at all? Any idea is welcome. |
