Default Trouble with publishing to website

I am trying to display some cells from Excel to my website. When using Office 2007 version, a simple copy/paste works great. I highlight the range, select copy and go to my website software (WB17) and everything (font color, fill colors, etc.) comes across fine. When I try to embed this data, so it is dynamic, it does not update. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

I have tried using Office Online and am currently in a trial for 365 and they both are able to update the data. Problem with these, when I do a copy/paste, the data is not displayed properly. This is how a 2 x 5 grid (A1:B5) appears.

I have to be missing something very basic, but after many hours of trying different things, I don't see what I am doing wrong.

Thanks,
Phil
