Default Hyperlink issue

I have an Excel worksheet that we record maintenance record of a piece of equipment in.
I wanted to add a hyperlink to the work order sent to us by the tech that repaired it, it is in the form of an editable PDF. When I click on the hyperlink it takes me to the document but the text he added in the boxes is not there. If you go to the folder where it is stored and open it everything is there.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I don't know what would cause this, but I'll bet the solution lies in the PDF software, rather than Excel. Maybe see if there are any commandline switches that can be used with the PDF editor, that will affect how it opens(??)

Is there a way you can reduce the data in the offending pdf file and post that ? Consider that specific pdf may have a problem and the only way to verify is to have that specific pdf file.

Here's an editable (and prefilled) pdf I made a long time ago. I tried making a link in a spreadsheet, then pointing it to the pdf's location on my pc. It did open as expected, with the information prefilled still.

Maybe you can try with this pdf and see what happens?

I'm using PDF X-Change Editor v9 by the way.

Well ... what I am seeing here :

Excel workbook does not have any hyperlinks at all.
PDF does not display any data in the various fields when opened in the same folder as the Excel file nor opened in another folder by itself.

Lots of stuff going on but I don't know what.

Are you saying that the PDF that I posted with the three bell curves is not populated with "Reading, Reading Comp, Math..." ? Or did you get a copy of Trapshooter's?

Yes, that's the way the pdf should appear.

Here is a screen shot of how I created a hyperlink and named it "PDF" located in cell C8. The pdf file does open as expected.
