Default display a change in column cells counting the number of months

Hi folks. I have a spreadsheet (see attached) where I have specific from and to dates in column A and B. I need a formula to show (in column D) the number of months between the month in column A and column B of the same row.. I suspect I need to use the month function here, but I can't figure out how to do it. Suggestions? Thanks

Maybe for cell D6 then pull down:

=IFERROR(DATEDIF(A6,B6,"y")*12+DATEDIF(A6,B6,"ym") ,"")

Maybe did you mean A6,B6 rather than A8,B8? Because this does seem to work. I have no idea why, I will need to analyze the formula. But thanks for your help, it solved my problem.

Sorry, yes, I had just realized the typo and was correcting the formula.
Glad having been of some help.

Why not simply ?
Code:
=IFERROR(DATEDIF(A6;B6,"m"),"")
