Help with formula
I have a excel file that has several types of documents for which it should assign numbers, if it is "other" type of document to give a new number, while if document is bill to assign an old number. Thanks in advanced |

Alexx, so in the right tables, the new documents are manually inputted and their numbers?

Right down table fills in on its own with data, date, type document (other) from big table and then generate incoming number (in right down table) and then ad to big table.
If type document is not "other", look in right up table and ad incoming number to big table. |

How about this? not sure it is very efficent, but it seems to work on this small data set
|
