How to enter 'Page 1' from the footer menu in the right hand section, and not the middle section?
Hi there,
I’m having a problem inserting text into a footer in Excel 2013. With the cursor in the right hand section, I go to the Header & Footer group > click on the Footer menu arrow and then choose ‘page 1’. Instead of the text/code entering the right hand section, it keeps appearing in the middle section. If I choose 'page number' from the menu, its just a single digit that appears i.e. '1'. Its not a major problem, but I’m curious to know why this happens and if there is a way to get it to display as I would prefer? Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance. |

What I do is to open the Page Layout tab>>Header/Footer>>Custom Footer>>Select the Right Section>>Click the Insert Page Number icon>>Type "Page" before the "& [Page]".

Thanks Marcia for your reply. I’ve just tried this again following the steps you’ve outlined here. Success! Thanks so much for your help. Much appreciated.
