long list
Hi. Question for beginners, I want to make a list of consecutive numbers in column B, which will end when column A ends. In column A there are 24000 rows, dragging the cursor all the way to the end will be difficult. Is there a command in excel instead of pulling the cursor. Thanks |

Fill 2 first numbers (1 and 2) into column B;
Select both cells you entered numbers in; Place cursor on lower right corner of selection (a cross is displayed); Dobule-click. Unless there are gaps in column A, column B will be filled until end of current datarange. |

ArviLaanemets answers is the simplest way and should work well, but if you do have any gaps in columns it will stop there, so as a workaround you can go to the last cell then in column b input (where 24000 is the cell you are in)
=ROW(B24000) then copy the cell (ctrl + c) and press ctrl+shift+arrow up to select all cells above the active cell then ctrl +v to paste |
