Cell fill based on conditional formatting
I need help solving the problem. I need to put on SharePoint an excel file that would be populated with data, but if some data is repeated in three cells within in single row in two sheets conditional formatting will change color of cell. But I dont know how in sheet2 column C to return value from row that is duplicated (I color cell in sheet2 in excel file in attachment). Is it possible solve this only with formulas? Thanks in advanced |

I was thinking excell based on values in three cell(one in first sheet, and another two in second sheet) returns automatically value in threed column (like in the excel file that I attached).

The way conditional formatting works is that "if some calculation = true" then apply the color. For example, "if A1 = x." So can you just use the same calculation in the above cells? Like "if A1 = x, then return C6, otherwise do something else."

So you are matching Cappuccino on Sheet1 with 2.25 and 2.95 on Sheet2 based purely on position on the sheet?
You could get Index and match to do it but column C can only be Either a typed cell or a formula On the attached i have added column C as a formula so if you add in a duplicate it will find the first one in the previous cells, but if its not found it will say #ref and you will need to over type. You could do simular with an extra column that might look better |
