Default Custom format 4 digit number to 0:00

Hi. Is there a way to format a number, say when the number 230 is entered, 2:30 should appear and 1130 to 11:30? I tried typing #0:00 in the custom format option but got an error message.

Thank you.

Yes it does perfectly. And to think that I was resigned to resort to a vba that I found in my search as a solution to this simple yet complex problem.
Thank you Purfleet.

But for example 230 + 1135 gives 13:65. Is that what you want?

Zor, there are no calculations. Just plain, tedious encoding of daily time ins and time outs.
