Repetitive pasting
Greetings Forum A septuagenarian here Control C and Control V are clear to me When I need to paste the earlier copied item, after using the sheet for different work, the control V does not work what is the shortcut keys for the same ?? Example Control C - 43984 Control V - 43984 then typed a few cells/rows etc now when I click Control V - the excel does not remember to paste 43984 is there any shortcut keys for the same? thanks in advance for your kind guidance |

Excel has a short attention span when you copy a range of cells (including a single cell). As soon as you do something other than paste it forgets what it had highlighted.
If you copy the 'text' inside the cell rather than the cell itself, that clipboard content will remain available to paste until it is over-written by another copy command.

Hi - I'm going to suggest the same answer as the Word one.
Try displaying the Clipboard. It has a longer memory that way and doesn't just retain the last thing selected. It's on the Home ribbon to the far left. Just click the little "expand" box next to Clipboard. |
