Conditional Formatting
I want to format the font on a cell based on the value of another cell and I can't figure out how to do it...
Example... If $A16 is the letter Y then I want the font color in $F16 to be red. Thank you |

Here you go!
You create a separate rule for every condition; You use formula as rule type; In current situation, neither setting 'Stop if True' or changing rules order doesn't affect the result, as there is no way several conditions are true for same field. |

Hi
Select cell A16 > Home Tab > Conditional Formatting > New Rule > Select - Use a formula to determine which cell to format. In the "Format values where this formula is true:" type the following "=$A$16="Y", click format button and apply your format preference. |

Quote:
To format F16 you select F16 not A16 OP asked for $F16 so the condition would be =$a16="y" ( guessing) Of course with an example sheet it would have been MUCH easier |
