Default Copying data between files in Excel 2016

I am using Excel 2016 and am trying to copy data between two files. The data in the original file is from a particular column. I have hi-lited all the data in the column and copied it. When I try to paste it in the second file the only thing that appears is the first cell of information.

I have tried using 'regular' paste along with 'paste special.'

I'd appreciate any help that can be given. Thank you.

Default

I think you might have a filter on the 2nd file, remove the filter before pasting
