Excel 2019: How to apply if statement for multiple values?



In the screenshot below, the first table has 12 rows at which each letter has a specific value. What I wanted in the second table is to get the corresponding value of each letter printed. For example, if the letter A is printed in the second table then its corresponding value should be 50 while if the letter be is printed then the value is 40 and so forth.

In cell H2:
=VLOOKUP(G3,$C$3:$D$14,2,FALSE)
and copy down.
This is very basic stuff - is this course work?
