Default Pivot Table Filter Issue

Hi I have source data that includes dates, source, revenue, and campaign

I have a pivot table that shows Dates in columns and the rows are filled with the source and revenue amount. Additionally I have a filter by campaign. The Campaign data includes mostly numerical campaign numbers, but there are some that are alphanumeric.

When I have the data source on one tab and the pivot table on another tab within the same spreadsheet it works fine.

My issue: When the data source and pivot table are on separate spreadsheets the Alphanumeric campaigns don't get pulled into the filter, the data associated with those campaigns comes through but the campaign is listed as "blank".
