Get a formula to count one per cell...
I'm building a spreadsheet and have one sheet reading data from another. I need the formula to read a count of 1 for every cell filled with the beginning phrase "Post" within the entire column.
I need an example of how this would be done. |

Much eaiser if you supply a spreadsheet with dummy data.
I would use a helper column with somthing like =IF(LEFT(A1,4)="Post",1,0) |

Or without helper column something like =sumproduct(--(left(a1:a10,4)="Post"))

or:
Code:
=COUNTIF(A1:A10,"Post*") |
