Default SORT() and FILTER() functions missing

Hi,

I have the latest Excel version and fully up to date (just updated it). But the SORT() and FILTER() functions are missing.

How do I enable/install them?

Thank you

I think you need to be an 'Office Insider'. See How to join and use Microsoft's Office Insider program - TechRepublic
The first screenshot on that page shows an Office Insider button (which I don't have (although I have managed to become an Insider)) which you might be able to use in a straightforward way. However, if the button/tile is not there then I can't remember exactly how I did it (3 months ago), but it involved a bit of internet searching and I needed to download an MS application and change a registry settting. I managed to do it without re-installing Office and chose the Current Channel (Preview) option. When I next tried manually to update Excel/Office it gave me the added FILTER, SORT and SEQUENCE functions and more.
These sites may give you an inkling of the sorts of thing involved - I went about it with some trepidation and was really quite surprised at how convoluted the whole process was, however, I was lucky and it worked first time:

Thank you p45cal

it looks like (also as per others replies) that applies only to 365, correct? Or did you find also a way (or different standalone version) to enable it on Excel 2019?

Thank you
