How to get autonumber series if adjacent cell has merged cells?
In place of (5,6,7,8) I should have 5 because adjacent cell has merged cells. In place of (13,14,15.....20) it should show "10" because adjacent cell has merged cells. |

the easy answer is dont use merge as it is the worse thing you can do in a spreadsheet and will only cause problems
but you could use =COUNTA($B$1:B1) |
