Trying to count the lines in a grouping

Right quick and dirty

join the letter "a"&a2 (="A"&A2) to make A103663321786245243384, then do the countifs (=COUNTIFS($E$2:E2,E2))

Copy the countifs and pastespecial values

Purfleet..that number was a concatenation of a few columns, I eliminated a few columns to make the number smaller and it worked perfect. Once again, thanks for all of your help...
