When pasting from Excel into Word, sometimes some of the numbers show up as ##### rather than numbers. It doesn't happen all of the time and only seems to happen on one PC. Has anybody see this before?

That suggests the Excel column is too narrow for reliable display of the data.

Thanks for the response, macropod. That was our first thought, but that's not it.
The Excel numbers show fine in Excel but it literally pastes "#######" into the Word doc. |

Did you actually try widening the Excel columns?

I am unable to replicate that behaviour without making the Excel columns too narrow.
Have you tried repairing the Office installation on the affected PC and updating its display drivers?

Thanks Paul, We did an Office Repair (full online version) a couple of weeks ago.
In Device Manager, I've done update driver on the displays. |

Neither of this is necessarily applicable to your current situation. If the problem has emerged since your Office Repair "a couple of weeks ago", the fault may also have occurred since then. The place to check for updated drivers is not Device Manager, but the maker's website.
