Default In Excel, formatted scientific notation field is displaying 0 for last digit

I have exported Salesforce data into a Excel (please see attached). The Credit Card No. field exported in scientific notation. When I click on any of those cells, the last digit has been changed to 0, or if I convert that column to a different format the last digit of each credit card numbers is 0. However, when I import the data back into Salesforce, the last digit imports correctly (not 0).... so I know the correct data must be in the Excel file, I just don't know how to see it.

How can I view the Credit Card No. column without the last digit displaying 0 for all the rows?

Thanks,
Burt

Credit card numbers are never used to do maths with, they're just unique identifiers.
Import them as text, then you won't get rounding errors.
How are you exporting/importing this stuff into Excel?

Hi p45cal,

Thank you for your reply.

I am using a tool called dataloader.io (used for Salesforce data). I'm not actually having a problem with the exporting/importing. I can export and import it back in and the data is fine, so I know the data is there. But when I try to view in Excel I cannot see the 16th digit. I tried converting the field to text, but it shows a 0. Like I said, when I import it the last digit is correct (not 0) so I would think there should be a way to format it in Excel so I can view the last digit.

Thanks,
Burt

Take a look at Exporting a text field but it is treating it as a number in scientific notation – dataloader.io and the link in the reply containing 16 replies - you might get some ideas from there.
