Empty date cell shows wrong month & year

Hi,

Empty Cell with the date format is showing wrong month & year when it is BLANK.

The formula in B3 & C3 are as below:

=TEXT($A3,"mmm")

=YEAR($A5)

Please support.

Can you post that in a workbook rather than a picture ?

Isn't just

=IF(ISBLANK(A3),"",TEXT(A3,"mmm"))
