Formula Assistance Required
Hi There
We receive payments that offset each other. It would be a dream if we could easily identify these payments with a formula. For example we receive a $100 payment, and on a separate line we receive a -($100) claw back. Both payments can be identified by the same phone number and that they offset each other. I need a formula that can find phones numbers with the opposite dollar value. It is much easier to reconcile the rest of the payments with these in/out payments removed. 9054677889 $100 9054677889 -$100 Thank you, Mike |

Add a column with an ABS formula of the dollar amount, something like
=ABS(B2) (on row 2) Then sort primarily on phone number, secondarily by the new column, and possibly thirdly by the actual dollar amount. The related rows should be very close to each other. |
