Sorting an excel datasheet
I can't seem to sort the excel datasheet in the right way. It needs to be in a particular way so the products can be merged while uploading. In the screenshot, I show you how it is now and how it needs to be. There are around 65k rows, sorting one by one isn't an option. I also provide a sample file with few products inside. The SKU always stays above the parent_sku. It works as follow: Parent product (SKU) is being imported and the variations (parent_sku) of the parent product follow.

Hi and welcome
Please,do not crosspost your question on multiple forums without including links here to the other threads on other forums. Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post. Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site). If you have fewer than 10 posts here, you will not be able to post a link, but you must still tell us where else you have asked the question Do not post any further responses in this thread until a link has been provided to these cross posts.

Most forums ask you to read and abide by their rules when signing in, which you seemingly have not done, or are cross posting any way regardless of rules. While cross posting is not prohibited, you are increasing the chances that no one will bother to answer. After all, who wants to loose one's time when other people might help you?

You're right, I haven't read them all, but didn't do it knowingly either. I did get an answer, however:
9_11_did_bush: First I would make a helper column that with =IF(B2="", A2, B2) that transfers over whichever column is not empty. image Then you can sort using the helper column and sku: image source: 9_11_did_bush from reddit |
