Default Conditional Formatting based on date

Hi All,
This may be a simple task, so apologies if it is.

I have 4 cells (F5, G5, H5 and I5) with F5 being a date. What i am trying to do is set some conditional formatting to highlight G5, H5 and I5 grey, if F5 is before todays date.

I will have a lot of dated cells on my spreadsheet so as each day passes i want the previous days cells to highlight grey.

I hope this makes sense, i believe i have done some conditional formatting like this before, but cannot remember how i done it.

Many Thanks
Terry

Please post a sample sheet with some data and expected results illustrating what you mean with the quoted sentence
Thanks
