Reference isn't valid error message
I was working in an Excel 2016 workbook on Windows 10 and created several shapes, selected several, grouped them and was moving the group. Using the cursor to move them was no problem, but after I had moved the group using the keyboard arrows, I inadvertently hit the numeric 1 key which froze everything up - no keys would work, cursor was unable to select menus etc. Whenever I attempted to click on the sheet or menu I get the message ' Reference isn't valid'
The only way I was unable to exit Excel was Ctrl-Alt-Del to enter the task manager and cancel Excel. So I tried the same procedure - create shapes, group, move using cursor & keys hit the 1 key and it froze everything and presented the same message. The 3 fingered salute was the only way to exxit Excel. Is this and Excel problem or Windows 10? |

I have Excel 2016 (365 ProPlus fully installed which I think is the same), and Win 10. I had no problem!
