I haven't run into a similar problem previously.
Manifestations: 1. Format column to wrap text. Copy text from existing cell to new within column. Text does not wrap. Right click/Format/Align--wrap is checked. If I uncheck then check, the cell wraps. 2. Create a 'Sum of' in a cell encompassing ~ 1/2 dozen cells above, 2 of which have values, the Sum cell correctly indicates the range Sum value. However, copy a value from another cell and paste within the referenced Sum range, the Sum does not automatically reflect the addition. If I then click on the menu bar Sum function to overwrite that which is not working and paste to the cell, then click to expand the range to what was initially established Excel's reaction is strange. The dotted line range indicator will instantaneously, correctly go to the top of the column range but then 'snaps' back in an instant to encompass just the first value of the column range. Is there a way that I can copy the contents of this sheet to a new sheet but not bring along whatever is causing the above irregularities? Thanks, Mark ![]() |
