I have a cell that accepts values => a numeric value of 105. Anything else causes an error: "Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close....." It asks if I want to send a report - I tried, but got no response. When clicking the More Information button, I get:
Microsoft Error Reporting log version: 2.0 Error Signature: Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS Date/Time: 2018-11-05 21:48:52 +0000 Application Name: Microsoft Excel Application Bundle ID: com.microsoft.Excel Application Signature: XCEL Application Version: 14.7.2.170228 Crashed Module Name: Gfx Crashed Module Version: 14.7.2.170228 Crashed Module Offset: 0x0013ddf3 Blame Module Name: Gfx Blame Module Version: 14.7.2.170228 Blame Module Offset: 0x0013ddf3 Application LCID: 1033 Extra app info: Reg=en Loc=0x0409 Crashed thread: 0 No other cells were found with this problem. Can anyone tell me what's going on? |

I suppose seeing the sheet will help answer your question?

There is nothing unusual about the worksheet. In fact, the cell in question worked properly in the previously-saved version of the workbook. Maybe there is a corruption in the cell. I can always recreate (make a copy) the error-cell work sheet to see if the error clears. I don't understand the text in the error information provided by the application so I brought it to this forum thinking an expert would recognize the error and provide advice.
BTW I cannot provide the workbook online as it has confidential financial information. |
