I have data that is in an excel file

Some rows have data and some rows are blank.

Asset Field
Blue; Red; Yellow
Blue
Yellow
Red

I want to add Brown to all those rows including the blank ones.

I tried an IF statement and it did not work. What is the best formula to use?

Put this in B2 and copy down...

=IF(A2="","Brown",IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("Brown",A2)), A2,A2&"; Brown"))
