Find duplicates in colums by row only
I want to find duplicates within 2 colums of names (which I know how to do) but want the duplicates to be unique to a row only. For example, I want to see if "Donald" in Column A Row 5, matches "Donald" in Column C Row 5. If I just select both columns and do conditional formatting, if there is a "Donald" in Column A Row 5 and "Joe" in Column C Row 5, but there is a "Donald" in Row 8, it will still come up as a duplicate, even if the names are not duplicated in Row 5. Is there a way to do this? |

Try your CF as follows:
Select both columns - Use =$A1=$B1 as CF ( or whatever ref is the first cell of the column) Format as required
