Another issue I've been running into with Excel for my job is with regard to the best way to have printable address labels from a set of information. The upside is obviously that you can update the data and it will update the label.

However, my efforts with mail merge haven't yielded any success. Avery labels, the brand we use, has templates for Word and other programs, but not Excel. I tried copying the margins from the Word document, and measured out the size of the labels along with the gap between them, but no matter what I have done, I can't get them to print properly on the labels (specifically, 5160 labels from Avery, 30 address labels)

Should I continue to pursue a mail merge or should I continue to pursue the creation of a template? I've attached the document I'm using. "Label Full (2)" is the current "printable label" page.

For a mailmerge, you'd use Word's own label tools, which include your Avery 5160 format.

Right. But it wasn't working properly. I'm sure I was doing it wrong, but I'm not sure how to show that here.

Telling us only that "it wasn't working properly" is hardly conducive to resolving the issue. If you care to provide some details, we can probably help with that.
