Hi everyone,

i have a problem. I have turned the DEFAULT background of excel to black


as it is more eye friendly. When i print something it is printed white thought!
(i do not mean the theme color but the color of the cells)

I have no idea how i did this.

How can i turn it back to what it was?

in which case the background won't print

It cannot be that. You are right that the background won't be printed but if i make a new document it is back to black. It is somehow default.

And you're sure it not the theme?
Save a very simple file with say, something in a few cells, and attach it here?

it is not the theme as i have already changed it and nothing happened. I have tried it before with a friend and the same document is black for me and white for him (his computer in comparison to mine).

It begins to look like a Windows setting may have been changed.
Does Word look the same?

I know, it is black only to me. Word is white unless i set it to something else. I do remember searching for a way to change it to black and i obviously did something. The question is what.

Have you changed the default template perhaps?
