Default Can I use a formula to name a worksheet?

Is there a formula to name worksheets? I want the contents of one cell of my worksheet to also be the name of the worksheet.

Thank you.

Formula? No.

VBA? Yes. Use the "Name" property of the "Sheets" object.

In this case, select the cell with the name in it, then run the code:

Code:
Sub RenameSheet()

ActiveSheet.Name = ActiveCell.Value

End Sub
Cheers,

This sounds like the answer I am looking for, and I really appreciate the feedback. I'm sorry to trouble you further, but could you please tell me what a VBA is and where do I run this code?

Thanks, again.

Most people's first experience with VBA can be compared either to opening Pandora's box, or to Alice's trip down the rabbit hole. In either case, I hope the experience turns out positive for you.

What is VBA?

Where do I run this code?

So basically:

- Use "Alt-F11"

- Create a module "Insert > Module"

- Paste the code in the module.

- Go to your worksheet and select the cell with the intended sheet name.

- Run the code.

Good Luck!
