Mikekf is on a distinguished road
Default Font size, layout & spacing is different from print preview and the actually printed item

I've tried to search the forum so that I don't waste anyone's time, but either my search is to vague or too specific, to get any valid hits.
It could be i'm just cursed and i'm the only person affected by this in the world ever.

I'm on window 10 and office 16, and having a real battle printing out forms from excel.

And sorry if this thread comes over weird I've been trying to sort this for a couple of days too much coffee & candy and my brain has gone into a strange place.

The end result of all this is going to be paper copies of sheets for engineers to complete on site, so I have no worries about calculations its all about the appearance. (sorry for any hardcore Excel heads for the abuse of the program) you just cant get the same flexibility and alignment with word

Basically they are going to be an A4 sheet with site specific questions and empty boxes for the engineers to scrawl their answers in, because some of the forms have a lot of questions I am having to use 6 & 7 point text so they all fit on an a single two sided A4 sheet.
And so they line up neatly ( i'm a bit OCD when it come to spacing's ) id set the blank drawing column and line spacing's to 10pt so that I can merge willy nilly to create a nice looking document.

So on my nice 26" monitor i've the cells merged and the text sized and aligned to my fussy standards,
I do a print preview and it still looks good,
I send it to the printer and the text has changed to the point where words have wrapped to different lines, I do it again to a different printer and even tell it to print as an image and still whats on the screen differs to the hard copy,
I've tried everything i can think of, normal fonts, shrink to fit, no shrink to fit, checked every option & preference I can find, then whilst I was trying another cunning plan, I notice as I used my mouse to zoom in on a section on the sheet, I could see the text re aligning itself the more i zoomed the more it changed i assume so thats the software keeping it legible on the screen,

My long winded question is................. can I stop this happening, even if I change between normal, page break, or custom views whats on the screen doesn't match the final print even at 100% zoom,
I even tried to print to PDF and it still moves things around, attached is a part completed sheet, not proofed before any comments about my shocking grammar & spelling but it might help, those of you that don't have my warped mental state understand what I've been trying to explain.
