Default Actual & Forecast Revised Figures

Good Evening everyone

My name is Tracy and I am new to this forum. I have a problem with a formula and I hoped that someone would be able to provide some valuable assistance. I would like to point out that although I use excel I only have a basic knowledge of formulas.

I have a spread sheet for our monthly income and expenditure. I have 24 columns made up of budget and actual figures on a month by month basis, so column A for example would be April Forecast and B would be April Actual, and so on.

I have been able to add up the Forecast for the year in a total column running April - March, and likewise the Actual columns. However, what I also need is to be able to show a revised forecast. So for example April revised would be April actual plus May-Mar forecast, then after entering May's figures for the month the revised forecast would be April & May actual plus Jun-Mar forecast, and so on for the remainder of the year.

I have tried everything to get this to work, but to no avail.

Any suggestions would be most gratefully received.

Kind regards

Tracy

Hi

I believe I have attached the file.

I have typed a note in the end column to show where I need the data.

Many thanks.

Just another quick question please...

I have tried to copy the formula down from R11 (revised forecast) and it just copies the same. I have tried to amend the formula showing actual in the first figures and forecast in the same but it still produces the wrong answer, could you point me in the right direction to correct this please.

Sorry, like I said I am a bit of a novice.

Many thanks

Tracy

Many Thanks

I'm still struggling a bit (I am sorry that I am such a novice), the formula works until I get to J14 then it doubles the revised from £10,000 to £20,000.

Sorry.....
